Getting away from the TV

So this weekend was probably one of the best weekends I've had since I've moved here to Reno. Ad and I decided we would not watch TV and spend time being more productive by getting things done and spending more quality time together. Sure, there was some TV but a lot less. It helped that our roommate, Colburn, was out of town and we had the house to ourselves. We were able to flip the couch around and spend a complete evening with all the lights out, a warm fireplace burning and Ben Harper in the background. As we sipped tea and reminisced about the past and the future. We decide that when we finally get our own house, that we will not have the TV in the living room so we are able to focus more on other things. Yes, we will have a TV but no cable and it will be in a separate room... the entertainment room/ guitar room. And so we agreed.
