Coming home to my beautiful island and loving it.: Our newest member..Amelia Lang (pronounced Lahn) Turner

Ok.. so here is the birth story and some pics for everyone. On Nov 23, I went into labor with contractions every 2-4 minutes but was sent home at 3 am. It was disappointing.
On 12.4.10, I started having contractions at 5am and decided to tough it out fearing that I would be sent home again. At around 9:30am, the contractions began to intensify to the point of bringing me to tears, so. .we headed for the hospital. We were admitted at 10am, 5 cm dilated and 80% effaced, by 11am the Doctor broke my water and we were well on our way. I was ready for the epidural and the prep work for it began... at 11:30am the contractions were so intense I was begging for some relief.. the papers were signed and the anesthesiologist was on his way. Yeah!!
Well.. the next contraction was so extreme I was screaming.. crying and could feel the baby moving down. The doctor was ready and I was 9cm plus.. I on the other hand. .was not!! I wanted my epidural but it was too late... one push and she was in the canal. .second push and she was out. It was the most painful moment of my life.. I compare it to having a blow torch burning up my nether regions while someone 200+ pounds jumped on my stomach. So that is my story... all in all.. Amelia arrived kicking and screaming.
