Bella developed this golf ball size bump within and hour and took her to the ER. What a nightmare, we were there for five hours because Bella fought the whole time and the sedative they gave her did not work very well. A CAT scan was completed and she was diagnosed with Parotitis, a infection in the saliva gland. Thank goodness for small favors, the PEDs unit had a few cases of RSV and they did not want to risk her getting it so we were sent home versus being admitted. She is on a 10 day regimen of antibiotics and hopefully we will start seeing the bump resolve soon.
