Getting pregnancy ready.

Ok, so Ad and I have decided that we will try for a little one next year. As part as my "preparing for pregnancy", I saw my primary for some sound advice. Her advice was to place me on prenatal pills and for me to start getting "healthy". In order to be healthy:
1. I have to loose weight, according to the BMI, I am 25 lbs overweight. http://www.bariatricedge.com/dtcf/pages/bmi_calculator.htm?WT.srch=1
2. I have to excercise more, 5 hours a week. 3 hrs of soccer is not enough.
3. I have to eat less.
Needless to say, I am depressed about having to loose that much weight, given I will gain it all back. *Sigh*

Be wary of those BMI counters.

Every time I go to the doctor and get weighed, the nurses are ALWAYS surprised I weigh as much as I do because "I don't look it." People regularly guess I am 20 pounds lighter than I actually am.

I think I'm built a little dense. You and Kentra are definitely built even more dense. I mean, according to that BMI chart, bodybuilders that have under 5% body fat border on obese!

So keep that in mind.

I think you should get in shape, it is a great idea. When I was in Italy I discovered that cravings were a state of mind and Italian women did not really have them. I cut out white sugar, flour and potatoes for the most part and really had a great first pregnancy since I did not gain a lot of weight.

All you have to do is eat healthy and you will be fine. Try to eat a lot of protien and take iron pills if you need to but that is all. This pregnancy is a lot harder but I have gained less than 20 pounds and feel like I will be able to lose it later.

You could try Vitamin B complex. It has folic acid (which is also in your prenatal pills but my doctor said that some prenatal vitamins don't have enough) and it also boosts immune system and metabolism. I've been taking it for 3 months and have more energy and it kinda helps with curbing cravings (but not much).
Here is a link if you'd like more info: http://www.vitamindeals.info/articles/vitamin-b.html
Good luck!
